Lithuanians believe free movement is EU's greatest benefit
Free movement of individuals, items and services was named as the utmost benefit of the EU by 70 per hundred of persons reviewed in Lithuania. And 42 per hundred entitled calm amidst EU constituent states as the second most important advantage, according to market and newspapers study business TNS LT which conveyed out the Eurobarometer review.
Lithuania is among nations that are optimistic about the prospect of the EU, with as many as 64 percent of persons in Lithuania being optimistic about the outlook of the Community. The percentage is only higher in Denmark and Estonia. Meanwhile, Portugal, Cyprus and Greece are at the base of the list. Despite increased number of immigration to other states from Lithuania’s accession to the EU almost ten years ago, freedom movement has become an asset which is used in search of better economic and social conditions in Europe.
